The Managing Director of Ecobank Development Corporation Gh Ltd, Paul Mante has said that the new way of thinking amid COVID-19 is to save, invest, and become financially independent. He added that salary is the medicine to poverty but does not cure it, only businesses or investment can cure poverty.

Speaking at the 22nd Edition of Step Up Business Forum, Mr. Mante said these four keys will help anyone create wealth amid COVID-19.

• Decide to become financially independent: You need to decide before you can become financially independent. The beginning point is in the mind and such a decision must be made now to start making money.
• Pay yourself: What we receive at the end of the month is not ours’ because part of that money goes to pay bills to the landlord, network providers, and utility providers among others, and before you realize everything is gone. You need to learn to pay yourself.
• Choose your financial system: There are two types of financial systems. They are the Hunter and Breeder systems.
• Hunter’s system describes the people who only depend on salary for living and nothing else.
• Breeder system describes those that have their money work for them to generate more money from it. They can survive if the salary doesn’t come.
• Lunch Operation One Million: Everybody should be able to have at least one million in their lifetime by saving and investing.
